Triple Platinum selling artist, Ed Sheeran has confirmed he will be appearing in Bristol on May 22 for one exclusive gig at The Fleece, on behalf of Charity One25. The tickets to this unique gig are only available to those who raise £125 or over through the 'Give it up for One25' campaign.
Ed Sheeran, who has sold more copies of his debut album than any other artist in the last ten years and is nominated for four BRIT Awards, hasn't included Bristol in his recent tour, which means this is the only chance to see him perform in the city this year.
One25 is a Bristol based charity, which reaches out to vulnerable women trapped in street sex-work, supporting them to break free and start new lives free from violence, poverty and addiction. Ed Sheeran, who is a strong supporter of the cause, said:
"It's good to show insight that these people are real people with real emotions and they deserve the same charity work as anyone else."
Louise Willott, the event organiser, told Jack FM Bristol that Ed Sheeran's gig will be "a full length set, we're gonna make the most of this amazing opportunity to have Ed play for us."
"The Fleece is quite a small venue - it only holds about four hundred, which makes it extra exciting as it's really intimate and Ed's not playing those size venues anymore", she added.
One25 are still encouraging people to get involved between now and March 8, when the campaign ends. For more information please visit http://one25blog.com/
