Leicester man caught driving with 11 people in his car


A 38-year-old driver who had been caught driving with 11 people in his car was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £1,325 by Leicester magistrates.

Zoltan Lakatos from Belgrave, Leicester, drove his Audi A4 saloon on June 18 last year, carrying 11 passengers, including five in the back seats and four in the boot. The five people in the back seats included a man, 65, two women, aged 49 and 24 and an infant, aged 3. The four people in the boot were all children, including two boys, aged 7 and 10, and two girls, aged 11 and 5.

Apart from overloading his car, Lakatos was also found guilty of driving without any insurance.
