Ford workers in the UK are today on strike in protest of cuts to pay, and to their pension scheme.
Unite members at Ford sites in Dagenham, Bridgend, Halewood, Daventry, Southampton, Warley and Basildon are taking 24 hours action today, after 67% voted in favour of a strike.

Ford is also proposing to introduce lower rates of pay for new entrants creating a two tier workforce. Ford wants to introduce new rates of pay significantly less than the pay of existing staff doing the same work, with no mechanism for progression.'
