This new video uploaded on Youtube on Thursday shows Aleppo University students on the streets with their suitcases after they were evicted from the dorms.
Prominent activist Shakeeb Al-Jabri as well as Al-Arabiya, a Saudi-owned pan-Arabist television news channel, reported that classes at Aleppo University have been suspended and that the university has been closed. The announcement comes as four students were killed last night by Syrian forces.
It is not known whether the university has been closed indefinitely or until after the parliamentary elections. The University of Aleppo had remained open since the beginning of the uprising 14 months ago.
At least four students have been killed after security services stormed dorms at Aleppo University, activists and opposition groups said. Dozens more were injured and arrested, according to the reports.
