According to Brazilian journalist Juca Kfouri's blog (www.blogdojuca.uol.com.br), the president of FC Barcelona, Sandro Rosell (pictured) deposited £1,4 million in the account of Antonia Teixeira Wigand, who happens to be the 11 year-old daughter of Ricardo Teixeira, the controversial president of Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and member of FIFA's executive committee. The money was put into Mr Teixeira's 11 year-old daughter's account on June 22 last year and is raising many suspicions.
Rosell, Barça's current president is also a shareholder of Alianto, a company that was granted £5.6 million from the Brazilian government, without having to go through the bidding procedures, in order to produce a friendly match between Brazil and Portugal, back in 2008. This specific match is being investigated by Brazil's public prosecutors (Ministério Público) for suspicion of over budget.
Sandro Rosell is also the former president of Nike in Brazil and business partner of Ricardo Teixeira's wife, Ana Carolina, in the company WTrade, based in Rio de Janeiro.
