KFC apologise for 'insensitive' Facebook message

Fried chicken giants, KFC, have apologised after posting a Facebook message on their Thai website urging people to pick up a bucket of chicken as they rushed home following yesterday's earthquake and subsequent tsunami warning. Some areas of Thailand were completely destroyed by the 2004 tsunami that claimed 230,000 lives across the Indian Ocean. KFC's poor taste Facebook message was found offensive as yesterday's scare triggered memories of the devastation caused six years ago. The message read:

"Let's hurry home and follow the earthquake news. And don't forget to order your favourite KFC menu."

The comment triggered hundreds of people to respond on Thai websites calling the company 'insensitive' and 'selfish'.
