'Nobody dares to attack Iran' warns legislator

Despite the recent success of talks between the 5+1 negotiators and Iran, a senior female legislator hailed the Iranian Armed Forces' has stressed that 'no one dares to attack the Iranian nation' after recent months of American and Israeli rhetoric towards Iran over its controversial nuclear programme.

"Today, the power and might of the Armed Forces, specially the Islamic Republic's Army, is the reason that no one dares to make an aggression against Iran," legislator Fatemeh Ajorlou told FNA on Monday.

Looking to dispel rumours that Iran's army and Supreme Leader are at odds over the nations sometimes aggressive outward stance, she said that the Army fully follows the guidelines of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and is popular and these two elements are working as a deterrent against enemies' threats.

Iran has in the last few months warned the USA and Israel that it will target Israel and its worldwide interests in case it comes under attack by the Tel Aviv and Washington over the nuclear issue.

Over the weekend Iranian and European officials expressed confidence in the outcome of weekend negotiations on Tehran's nuclear program and announced the two sides will meet again in Baghdad on May 23.
